The most common problem we see at Guatemalan companies is not lack of business vision — it is the fragmentation of professional support. Having one attorney over here, an accountant over there, a notary somewhere else and an external auditor when needed. Each one works in a silo, decisions contradict each other, deadlines collide and in the end the company loses time and money. Our model is different: one firm, one team, one coordinated strategy to grow your business.

Our proposition: three integrated practices, one client

Asesoria Global was built on the premise that an SME owner does not want to deal with five providers who don't talk to each other. That's why we integrated three complementary practices under one roof:

⚖️ Legal Services

Incorporation, contracts, compliance, trademark registration, employer-side labor law, dispute resolution and real estate.

📜 Notary Services

Notarial acts, public deeds, powers of attorney, sworn statements, authentications, apostilles and full notarial services.

📊 Consulting & Audit

Monthly accounting, SAT filings, financial and operational audit, financial and administrative advisory.

How we support you at every stage of the business

1. Startup stage: from project to operation

If you are thinking about starting a business or have already made the decision:

  • Strategic diagnosis: we help you choose the right legal entity (S.A., E.I.R.L., sole proprietorship, foreign branch) based on the type of business, number of partners and growth plans.
  • Full incorporation: we draft the deed and handle the Mercantile Registry, SAT, IGSS, business permits and required licenses.
  • Operational setup: we configure FEL e-invoicing, accounting books, corporate bank account, model contracts and internal regulations.
  • Asset protection: trademark registration from day one, NDAs with partners and employees, well-drafted service agreements.

2. Growth stage: when your team expands

When you start hiring and operating consistently:

  • Full labor management: employment contracts, MINTRAB registration, IGSS enrollment, payroll, benefits and settlements.
  • Preventive labor compliance: labor audit before inspections, HR team training, internal policies.
  • Monthly accounting: we keep the books, file SAT returns (VAT, Income Tax, ISO, withholdings) and prepare monthly financial statements you actually understand.
  • Financial advisory: cash flow, budget, profitability analysis by line, investment evaluation, support with bank financing.

3. Consolidation stage: when you already operate at scale

When the business matures and needs a more sophisticated structure:

  • External financial audit: a common requirement for large credit lines, public tenders and investor entry.
  • Operational audit: we detect where money is being lost, where the risk is and which controls are failing. Prioritized action plan.
  • Advanced compliance: anti-money-laundering compliance, corporate governance, complete internal regulations, anti-fraud policies.
  • Corporate reorganization: mergers, spin-offs, new entities, holdings.
  • Ongoing strategic counsel: we become part of your portfolio, not a one-off transaction.

4. Internationalization stage: when you grow beyond Guatemala

For companies expanding abroad or receiving foreign investment:

  • International tax structuring: leveraging double-taxation treaties.
  • International trademark registration via the Madrid System.
  • Support for foreign investors entering Guatemala (apostilles, IVE, banking, residency).
  • Bilingual documentation: contracts, deeds and resolutions in Spanish and English.

What sets us apart: our 4 principles

1. We respond the same day

If you write to us, we reply within 24 business hours. Most of the time, the same day. Response speed is our first quality standard. "The attorney who doesn't reply" is a Guatemalan meme — and precisely why we founded this firm.

2. Clear fees before we start

We honestly tell you how much it costs and what it includes before starting the work. No surprises, no extra charges that weren't agreed upon. For recurring services (accounting, ongoing advisory), we work with clear fixed monthly fees.

3. Plain language, no jargon

Law and accounting are full of jargon that confuses. We explain things the way we would explain them to a friend. If you don't understand what your advisor is telling you, that advisor is not doing their job well.

4. One conversation, every solution

When a client consults us about a labor issue, we automatically review whether there are tax or corporate implications too. That 360° view is what prevents decisions from contradicting each other across disciplines — and it's the biggest difference versus hiring three separate providers.

Typical cases where we make the difference

The entrepreneur opening their first company

We don't just incorporate it. We explain what comes next, set up the full compliance system (SAT, IGSS, FEL, books, trademark), and walk alongside you each month so you don't fall into omissions that later turn into fines.

The established SME owner facing an inspection

Preventive labor audit, defense against inspections, administrative appeals against fines, settlement negotiation when applicable. We have defended companies from fines that would have cost hundreds of thousands of quetzales.

The foreign investor opening operations in Guatemala

Full bilingual support: corporate structuring, apostilles, IVE compliance, banking, tax, local hiring, accounting and reporting to the parent company. We simplify a process that would normally require coordinating 5–6 different providers.

The company facing a labor or commercial dispute

Resolution before litigation: mediation, conciliation, notarized settlement. If it has to go to court, we go in firm with strategy and documents in order. Collection of receivables, defense against unfounded labor claims, supplier negotiations.

The brand under threat

Phonetic search, strategic registration with the RPI, defense against oppositions, fight against fake social media accounts impersonating your brand, international registration when you grow.

A 30-minute conversation where you tell us your situation, we identify what is most urgent, and we explain what can be done and how. No commitment.

Step 2: Diagnosis and proposal

If you decide to move forward, we run a legal/fiscal/labor diagnosis of your company and present you with a services proposal with scope, timelines and clear fees.

Step 3: Coordinated execution

We assign a main point of contact (the "lead attorney/accountant") who coordinates with the rest of the team as needed. You don't have to give the same information to several people.

Step 4: Ongoing support

For recurring services (accounting, ongoing legal counsel), we work with a monthly reporting system, early alerts on pending compliance items, and proactive review of regulatory changes that affect you.
